Epicor Software Corporation, a global provider of industry-specific enterprise software to promote business growth announced today that Bill’s Gun Shop & Range has selected Epicor solutions for firearms and retail business management software to improve inventory maintenance, enrich range management and range memberships, and boost the customer experience in its multi-store business.
Awarded the coveted 5 STAR Range rating by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), all five Bill’s Gun Shop & Range locations focus on personalized customer service and superior product knowledge. With growth and the customer experience top-of-mind for owner John Monson, the business will soon implement Epicor Eagle N Series, Epicor FFL Compliance Manager—created in collaboration with Orchid Advisors—and Epicor Range Management solutions.
Analytics to enhance the customer experience
Bill’s Gun Shop & Range features 116 shooting lanes companywide and its service hinges on the guarantee of always having a range lane available for walk-in customers. “Another advantage of implementing a system like Epicor is gaining critical data to improve the overall customer experience. Easy access to firearms inventory data
With $1 million of inventory in each store, the Bill’s Gun Shop & Range team has large and high-end inventory to maintain. “Eagle N Series software will provide us with inventory information across all of our locations,” said Monson. “The simple ability to see what I have in stock and at which location will be a huge benefit to the business. Instead of having to call another store, look in a cabinet, or check the floor, I will be able to easily access our global inventory. This will immediately secure the customer’s purchase and initiate a store transfer, if needed—streamlining our processes, which enhances our customers’ experience, not to mention the time we save as a company.”
“The FFL Compliance Manager tool will give us more data and features to work with than our previous system. Our current system only gives us basic firearms information, and we’ve had to create external processes in order to do tracking and get details prepared for audits. With the tribal knowledge we have about audits, we’re hoping to use the Epicor and Orchid tool to improve our inspection results because of the increased diversity and functionality within the tool,” said Monson.
