Epicor surveyed 1,400 manufacturing leaders and 1,200 manufacturing workers from around the globe to develop the Future of Work in Manufacturing Report. This report brings together responses from our Voice of the Manufacturing Manager and Voice of the Essential Manufacturing Worker reports and synthesizes the feedback better to understand the thoughts and feelings of these two critical groups.
The report uncovers transformative strategies for workforce satisfaction and highlights pivotal areas including gaps and alignment between manager and employee sentiment, cutting-edge connected worker technologies, and workforce efficiency and productivity.

- 52% of managers view their workplace as “very modern”—but only 39% of workers do
- 57% of managers rate their morale as high—but only 45% of workers do
- 91% of managers say their companies are prioritizing upskilling—but only 70% of workers had the same response
