Closing Year-End Dynamics GP with Ease

Microsoft Dynamics GP 18.7 is now available.  Please review What's new in Dynamics GP in October 2022 - Dynamics GP for more information on the new features available for this version.  Microsoft is targeting their Year End release to be available around November 22 – visit U.S. Year-End Update for Microsoft Dynamics GP for more details.

Please be aware that customers using Dynamics GP 2016 or earlier will not be able to apply any Microsoft year-end updates due to Microsoft’s product release plan. If you would like to arrange for a Dynamics GP upgrade then please contact your Customer Account Manager or submit a case through EpicCare for estimate.

Kindly note that if you still print Payables 1099 forms in Microsoft Dynamics GP, with the October 18.6 release last year all Payables 1099 forms (DIV, INT, MISC and NEC) will print with lines. This is similar to what we did with the 1099-NEC form in the 18.5 release. You no longer need to purchase forms at year end!! There are NO 1099 form changes for the 2024 year-end.

Lastly, the IRS is pushing for a business to file electronically, W-2, 1099, etc. Dynamics GP does not file Payables 1099's electronically. Review THIS BLOG to help you prepare for year-end and electronic filing.
